Privacy policy

Information on the processing of personal data by netvalue GmbH (LibraLy brand).

1. Controller

netvalue GmbH (LibraLy brand)
Selmattenstrasse 25
8215 Hallau
Switzerland

Phone: +41 71 695 2000
Email: kontakt@netvalue.ch
Managing Director: André Schulze

2. Scope & legal bases

This policy explains how personal data is processed in connection with the website libraly.ch and enquiries or business contacts in the antiquarian trade. The Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) applies. Where the EU GDPR applies, processing is based in particular on Art. 6(1)(a), (b), (c) and (f) GDPR.

3. Data we process

3.1 When you visit the website

When you access our pages, standard server log data may be generated (e.g. IP address, time, requested URL, referrer, browser/device information). These data support delivery, security and error analysis. Exact log retention depends on the hosting provider.

3.2 When you contact us

If you contact us by email, phone or the contact form (mailto hand-off), we process the details you provide (e.g. name, email, phone number, message content, purchase interest) to respond and, where relevant, to prepare or perform a contract.

3.3 Purchases / offers

In connection with offers, sales contracts, payments, delivery and accounting we process necessary contract and billing data (including address and payment information). Legal bases are contract performance and statutory retention duties.

4. Cookies & local storage

We distinguish between strictly necessary storage and analytics cookies, which are set only with your explicit consent (cookie banner).

4.1 Necessary storage

In your browser’s localStorage we store your cookie choice (key libraly_consent with values analytics or essential). This is required for the consent mechanism to work.

4.2 Google Analytics 4 (only with consent)

The website embeds Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) of Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC (USA). Measurement ID: G-K84MFQXHVH. We use Google Consent Mode v2: the tag may load, but analytics cookies / storage are activated only if you choose “Accept all” (analytics_storage = granted). Without consent, analytics_storage remains denied.

With consent, Google Analytics helps us understand site usage (page views, approximate region, device type, time on page). The IP address is anonymised where supported by Google. Legal basis for cookies/storage: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where applicable; analogous under Swiss FADP).

Data may be transferred to the USA. Google relies inter alia on Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework (where applicable). More information: Google Privacy Policy and Google Analytics & privacy.

You may change your choice anytime via “Cookie settings” in the footer or by clearing browser storage (key libraly_consent).

5. Fonts

The typefaces used on this website (Inter, Cormorant Garamond) are hosted locally on our own servers only. Visiting the site does not establish a connection to Google Fonts or other font CDNs.

6. Sharing with third parties

Personal data is shared only when required to perform a contract (e.g. logistics, payment providers), where we are legally obliged, or where you have consented. We do not sell data for advertising purposes.

Hosting and technical infrastructure may be provided by service providers in Switzerland or abroad. For transfers abroad we ensure an adequate level of protection (e.g. adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses).

7. Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purposes or as required by law (in particular Swiss commercial and tax retention periods, typically up to 10 years for business records).

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Website transmission should use HTTPS.

9. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we process
  • Rectification of inaccurate data
  • Erasure or restriction of processing
  • Object to processing (where applicable)
  • Data portability (where applicable)
  • Withdraw consent with effect for the future

To exercise your rights, contact kontakt@netvalue.ch. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (in Switzerland: Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner, FDPIC).

10. Minors

Our offer is not directed at children. We do not knowingly request personal data from minors.

11. Changes

We may update this privacy policy if the law, our offer or our processing changes. The version published on this page applies.
